MPS/UPS - Full Time temporary maternity cover from February 2025

Required for February 2025 a well-qualified and enthusiastic Teacher of Spanish to join our outstandingly successful Modern Foreign Languages department. Language learning is highly prized by the school, with almost all girls taking either French or Spanish through to GCSE and offering French and Spanish at A level. Exam outcomes are outstanding. The department promotes the value of the spoken language and runs a range of clubs and cultural activities for students. The department is well-supported each year by a language assistant, and offers trips to enhance students’ experience of language learning. The school is fortunate to have a well-stocked library and a full-time librarian. A TLR allowance of 2A is available for a suitably qualified candidate; however, candidates who are not able to offer this level of experience are also welcome to apply.

Camden School for Girls is a highly successful and oversubscribed inner London comprehensive secondary school with a rich historical heritage. The school was founded in 1871 by Frances Mary Buss, a pioneer for women’s education and the school has a long-standing history of ambition and excellence for all pupils regardless of background. About The Camden School for Girls

Located in Camden, north-west London, The Camden School for Girls is a single-sex secondary school, offering places to girls aged 11-18. With around 1,000 students, the school has an extremely diverse student intake, reflective of the local community.

First established as a grammar school in 1871, The Camden School for Girls later became a comprehensive. Although the school is girls-only in Years 7-11, the substantial sixth form is co-educational and accepts a large number of its students from other schools in the local area.
