This is an exciting opportunity to influence the direction of Hill View School to further improve the lives of some of the most vulnerable children and young people in South Somerset. Hill View School is a special school providing education for 120 learners aged 5 - 16 years (mixed), with Social and Emotional Mental Health and/or Speech, Language and Communication Needs as the identified primary need. The school situated in Martock is currently in the pre-opening phase, with an opening date of September 2024. The school will open with an intake of 60 learners (initially Years 1 to 9 from Sept 2024), growing over 3 years to a full capacity of 120 learners.

The successful candidate will be a qualified teacher with experience of either primary, secondary or special sectors and able to demonstrate they are:

  • Able to work within the larger school team and manage a small team of class staff.
