Rowena Academy are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant Level 2 to join our academy in November 2024 on a part time, temporary basis.

Your new role

 

As a Teaching Assistant Level 2, you will work under the instruction/guidance of teaching/senior staff to undertake work/care/support programmes to enable access to learning for pupils and assist the teacher in the management of pupils and the classroom. You may carry out work in the classroom or outside the main teaching area.

 

Salary:  Grade D Points 6 to 8 (£23,893 to £24,702 Full Time Equivalent) subject to pro rata. The minimum actual pro rata salary per annum for this job starts at £16,851.10.

 

Hours: 31 hours per week / Term Time only (38 Weeks) / Temporary

Rowena Academy is a Nursery and Infant Convertor Academy (age range 3-7) situated in Conisbrough near Doncaster. Rowena became an Academy on November 1st 2011 within Delta Academies Trust.

The Academy became a Teaching School in September 2014 and has supported many other academies and schools in improving their practice.

The current number on roll is 306, with a Standard Admission Number of 80. There has been a significant rise in pupil numbers over the last few years due to an increasing popularity in the community. The school serves its immediate community but does have some children who come from outside the catchment area as a result of parental choice.
