Teaching Assistant, Level 2

Contract: Permanent post, term time only

Start Date: As soon as available

Hours/Schedule: Variable hours contract 25 - 30.5 per week, spread over 5 working days, Monday to Friday. Hours per week to be discussed at interview

Salary: Grade 4, Level 1 - 4 (£23,151 - £24,213 p.a.) reduced pro rata to £16,386 - £17,138, calculated on 30.5 hours. *N.B. these figures do not include the Local Government pay offer, from 1 April 2024, that is currently under negotiation

The Role:

We are looking to recruit a General Teaching Assistant to work with students with additional needs and deliver specific interventions with groups and individuals. This post would be a good opportunity for candidates who are considering the teaching profession

You will join an enthusiastic team to provide a high standard of support to students through the course of their school day here at The Joseph Rowntree School. You will work under the direction of the teacher/team leaders to undertake work, care and support programmes, to enable access to learning and to assist the teachers in delivering the curriculum.
