We are seeking to appoint a talented and enthusiastic Teaching Assistant to offer support to our children across the school. This role will be based in Reception for the maternity cover period. The successful candidate will need to have current classroom experience, preferably across all the primary key stages. The candidate should be able to work on their own initiative and as part of the wider, guided team in helping to support our pupils with interventions, pupil’s core lessons and a whole class as and when necessary. It is an advantage to have experience of covering teacher lessons and a willingness to participate in everything!
Job Title: Teaching Assistant (Full-Time Maternity Cover) Term Time Only
Reporting to: Head, Deputy Head, Head of Learning Strategies and Form Tutor/Teaching Staff
Hours, Salary & Benefits:
Hours: Full time, maternity cover, term time only. Including insets and events outside of the school day/week. 8:20am - 4pm with one late night to 5:30pm, Mon - Fri.
Salary: £19,174.00

Person Specification:
Education and Qualifications
Essential:
- Current or recent experience in a classroom/nursery
- Good standard of education with excellent literacy and numeracy skills
- IT literate
Desirable:
- A recognised qualification for a Teaching Assistant at Level 3 (or above)
- Paediatric First Aid qualification
- Experience across EYFS, KS1 and KS2
