Theatre Manager

Full time, 52 weeks a year

We are looking to recruit a Theatre Manager to work closely with the Director of Drama and academic drama department to manager the theatre and provide a wide range of technical and general support to the school within the Rose Theatre. You will be joining the support team which prides itself in the provision of first class support to all aspects of the St Mary’s School Ascot operation. You will be a key player both in term time and school holidays in supporting all aspects of the school’s operations and in particular the operation of the Rose Theatre. The role is both technical, requiring knowledge and experience in lighting and sound systems, as well as routine, such as setting out seating for an event.

The Theatre Manager will work closely with academic and support staff as well as working closely with pupils of all ages. The job holder will also have to be practical with the work ethic that will allow them to remain enthusiastic even when resetting the seating for the fourth time in a week. It will be essential that along with all the support staff the Theatre Manager is willing and able to cross boundaries in the interests of providing first class support to the school.
