Job overview

Bradfield College is looking for an experienced information management professional to create and manage the school timetable throughout the academic year.

We are looking for someone who will welcome the challenge of strategically developing and managing a complicated timetable for the school (we aim to offer our pupils their chosen mix of subjects without restrictions).

You will utilise your technical skills to enhance and develop the College’s management information system, including organising reports and data. The necessity for discretion when handling sensitive and confidential information is crucial.

Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Creating staff and pupil timetables and option blocks
  • Controlling the iSAMS timetable and pupil import process
  • Maintaining the iSAMS timetable and teaching environment, including making set, subject and room changes, and general administration
  • Assisting with other tasks that require timetable expertise, such as the Fifth Form Taster sessions

This role is to be worked across an average of 37 hours a week, between 8.00am and 4.00pm Monday to Friday in term time. Flexibility is essential, which may mean longer hours some weeks, and occasional Saturday mornings. Time off in lieu will be given to compensate.

In return, we offer a variety of excellent College benefits including:

  • One free meal a day when the College kitchens are open
  • Access to Lifeworks EAP programme
  • Subsidised membership of the College Sports Centre and Golf Club
  • Contributory Pension Scheme
  • Life Assurance Scheme
  • Cycle to Work Scheme

For full details of the position and an application form please click the apply button to be directed to the school website.

If you would like any further information about this role, please contact the Academic Office at acad@bradfieldcollege.org.uk

Applications will be processed as they are received and we may interview suitable candidates before the closing date; therefore early application is advised.

Bradfield College is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, and applicants must be willing to undergo child protection screening as part of their application, including checks with past employers and the Disclosure and Barring Service.

About Bradfield College

Founded in 1850 by Thomas Stevens, and set in the village of Bradfield amidst unspoilt Berkshire countryside, Bradfield College enjoys a well-established reputation for being one of the country’s leading co-educational, independent schools through its provision of academic excellence and a well-rounded education.

The College welcomes pupils from Britain and overseas; the pupil body numbers approximately 850 pupils, comprising 350 girls and 500 boys from 13 to 18 years of age.

Boys and girls enter Bradfield at 13+ and many more join the College’s popular and vibrant Sixth Form, where they can choose to study either the IB or A Levels. Faulkner’s, a state-of-the-art boarding house, is specially designed to help all girls and boys make a happy and successful transition from prep school (we recruit from more than 70) to senior school; pupils then move into one of 11 senior houses.

We offer an unrivalled sports and activities programme for all our pupils which ensures that every girl and boy has the opportunity to develop valuable skills outside the classroom, wherever their interests lie.
