With rates between £31-£45 per hour, based on the material you teach, this is a rewarding and flexible opportunity to make a real difference.

Who Are We Looking For?

We’re seeking qualified teachers with QTS, mentoring experience, and a strong commitment to improving outcomes for children. You’ll need availability during or after school hours, and the ability to provide face-to-face tuition. We value excellent communication, reliability, and a passion for safeguarding.

What’s the Role?

We are currently looking for tutors and qualified teachers who are able to support with children with a range of needs. Most in terms of themes are language/communication disorders & sensory processing disorders as well as ASD and severe depression/anxiety. A fairly significant proportion of them are for EYFS/ play based learning because of the needs being so complex (even if child is much older). The referrals tend to be Alternative Provision - full time hours whilst child is waiting for a special school place (though they often run long-term)

  • Subjects: Core subjects at KS1, KS2, KS3, including GCSE/Functional Skills.
  • Full Time or Part-Time
  • Schedule: Mon-Fri (Weekend availability)
  • Location: Kent (Face-to-face tuition).
  • Rate: £31-£45 per hour based on the content, not the learner's age.

KS1 - KS4 Material £31 or £36 (online vs person); KS5 Material or above - £40 or £45 (online vs person)

Skills and Experience

Essential:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or view our alternatives via our website
  • Availability during school hours and/or after school
  • Ability to provide face-to-face tuition (not online)
  • Mentoring experience
  • Valid Enhanced DBS check
  • Based in the UK
  • Right to work in the UK
  • Able to work self-employed and up to 15 hours per week
  • Strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children
  • Excellent communication, timekeeping, reliability, and reporting skills

Education:

  • Bachelor's (preferred)

Experience:

  • Teaching: 1 year (preferred)
  • Tutoring: 1 year (preferred)
