Are you passionate about education and eager to make a difference in pupils’ lives? The University of Birmingham School is seeking dedicated Tutors of Maths, Science, English, and Humanities to support our GCSE pupils and A’level students in their personalised learning. 

You will deliver high-quality 1:1 or small-group tuition, exhibiting strong subject knowledge in the relevant area and promoting continuing progress and positive outcomes for all. 

Contract type/term: Hours by negotiation, term-time only. Fixed-term, January - June 2025.

The successful candidates will ideally:

  • Be able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of the curriculum
  • Have experience of effective teaching and learning strategies
  • Have excellent communication skills and be able to build effective working relationships with our pupils and students
  • Model the positive attitudes, values and behaviour expected of pupils and students

Applications are invited from qualified Teachers and Instructors. We can offer flexible working hours to suit the successful candidates’ requirements, however these will need to be within the school day and onsite at our Selly Oak campus.
