Year 4 Class Teacher

Salary range: between £33,075 and £45,307

Pay details: MPS1 - 6

Start date: 22 April 2025 or early for right candidate

If you have a passion for teaching and learning and thrive within a dynamic and highly successful team then we would like to hear from you! We are seeking to appoint a fantastic Class 4 teacher to our high-achieving and family-oriented school.  

The successful candidate will:

• Be enthusiastic, well-motivated and committed to enabling every child to achieve their best
• Be able to challenge, inspire, and develop positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents/carers
• Be a talented teacher, who has experience of teaching in key stage 2 or an Early Careers Teacher (ECT) who can quickly identify the strengths of individual children and build upon these with energy and vision.
• Be flexible in their approach to change and innovation
• Plan and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all students, including those with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
• Implement effective behaviour management strategies to maintain a positive learning environment.
• Foster strong parental engagement to support student learning and development.

This is a permanent appointment, starting in January 2025/April 2025 or sooner for the right candidiate. Applications are invited for candidates seeking a full time role or a two day a week job share. Harvey Road Primary School is a highly oversubscribed, popular community school and admits children between the ages of 4 and 11. We are a one form entry school with 210 children on roll plus 30 children in our Nursery. The school is situated within a residential area and is very close to local woodlands. The grounds are extensive and include a playing field, three playgrounds, outdoor swimming pool and nature area. We have a friendly, caring staff and, coupled with a sense of humour, pride ourselves on our professional expertise.
