Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective lessons aligned with the curriculum for Year 5 students.
  • Create a classroom environment that promotes student engagement, inclusivity, and respect for cultural diversity.
  • Assess, monitor, and report on student progress, providing constructive feedback to students and parents.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies, differentiating instruction to meet the varying needs and abilities of students.
  • Foster a safe and positive learning environment, encouraging students’ personal, social, and academic growth.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to plan and coordinate school-wide and grade-level activities and initiatives.
  • Utilize a variety of teaching resources and technologies to enhance learning experiences.
  • Uphold the school’s mission, vision, and values, actively contributing to the school community and supporting school events.

·        Expertise in planning and delivering engaging, student-centered lessons tailored to Year 5 curriculum requirements.

·        Effective at implementing behavior management strategies to promote a positive and safe learning space.

·        Excellent verbal and written communication skills, essential for clear interaction with students, parents, and staff.

·        Capable of providing constructive feedback to students and keeping parents informed of their child’s progress.

·        Strong ability to work collaboratively with fellow teachers and school staff on lesson planning, school projects, and student support initiatives.

·        Open to sharing ideas, resources, and best practices, contributing to a positive team culture.

·        Proficient in using digital tools, educational platforms, and interactive technologies like Google Classroom, Smartboards, and learning management systems to enhance instruction.

·        Skilled at incorporating multimedia resources to make learning engaging and relevant.

·        Flexible and resourceful in managing unexpected challenges and adapting teaching strategies to suit evolving classroom dynamics.

·        Demonstrates resilience and a proactive approach to continuous improvement and professional growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
  • Valid teaching certification for the primary level.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or multicultural environment.
  • Proficiency in English; native-level fluency is highly desirable.
  • Strong classroom management skills, with an emphasis on creating a positive and engaging learning atmosphere.
  • Demonstrated commitment to fostering a supportive and inclusive educational environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
