The Role
Required for January 2025, we wish to appoint an enthusiastic & well motivated individual to join our team of Year Support Assistants. The post holder will be required to provide administrative support to the Head of Year in addition to supporting students, to help them achieve their targets. This is an interesting & varied role that includes working closely with students, parents, teaching staff & external agencies linked with the Academy.
This position would suit an individual who is supportive and enjoys the challenge of a busy and varied role. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a positive ‘can do’ attitude and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.
The working pattern for this role is Monday to Thursday 8:00am – 4:00pm and Friday 8:00am – 3:30pm.
The Academy
Ormiston Bushfield Academy is a good school (OFSTED – December 2019), conveniently located close to the Cambridgeshire, Northamptonshire & Lincolnshire borders, and benefits from excellent road and rail links.
The Academy is continuing to expand and due to its popularity and increasing student numbers, a new £6 million wing was opened in September 2018. This extension is an addition to the £20.6 million state-of-the-art building that was completed September 2012, giving every student the opportunity to learn in an exciting and inspiring environment at an Academy that has been recognised for its high standards of inclusion. The Academy has continued to build on the successes of the last few years and achieved strong results at GCSE & A-Level in the summer.
