This is a week’s worth of literacy plans for KS1 although could easily be adapted for Year Three. It is based on the book ‘The Scarecrows’ Wedding" to include activities such as writing a list with commas, rhyming couplets, writing an invitation and producing a newspaper report with inverted commas and types of questioning. Great for a week to celebrate the wedding of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle.

This is aimed at Year3/4 who struggle with basic vocabulary to make interesting sentences. I found lots of adverb sheets, synonyms for said sheets etc. but couldn't find it all on one sheet. Feel free to edit it.

This is an assembly I did with my year 3 class based on 'The Golden Globes' awards. I changed it to the Golden Rock awards and used internet on a projector to enhance the properties of rocks. Feel free to use and change it as you see fit. If I had more time I would have incorporated a song. Played &'Rockstar&'; at beginning of assembly and Sweet Caroline when Neil Diamond appeared.

This is a year 3 assembly based on Stonehenge, magnets, PSHE and our English topic Castles. It can very easily be adapted to your topics. Hope you find it useful.
