<p>Attached is an editable school Maths calculation policy, editable parent friendly policy and Key Stage Two ‘helping your child with calculations in Maths’ PDF. All are in line with the 2014 British National Curriculum. Starting from Year One up to and including Year Six the policy details the National Curriculum standards to be covered, step by step methods to be used with written and pictoral examples.</p> <p>Methods covered are from Year One to Year Six: number lines, object and/or pictoral representation, frog method, column addition and subtraction, expanded addition and subtraction, column multiplication, short multiplication, formal division (bus stop), lattice multiplication, short division and long division. In addition there are video links for ‘how to’ explanations at the end.</p>
