<p>This Key Stage 4 resource provides students with an opportunity to learn about a variety of key terminology related to the topic-area. It allows students to examine 2023-24 government receipts and expenditure and examine the difference between national debt and deficit whilst also learning about various types of tax and public services.</p> <p>In this engaging lessons, students pretend to be the Chancellor of the Exchequer and justify reasons for increasing/decreasing various taxes and funding various public services. It provides an excellent opportunity to discuss and develop their oracy skills and has challenge activities throughout.</p> <p>Resources are saved on the last few slides on the PowerPoint as well as an editable Word doc.</p>
