3rd class +, 8+<br /> This resource contains seven posters, each one designated to one of the seven pronouns. Each poster also contains seven prepositional pronouns, with all of the first persons on one sheet, the second person on another sheet, etc. These can be used in a classroom display to help children identify which prepositional pronouns relate to each pronoun.

3rd-6th classes<br /> This is a set of 7 posters displaying 'An Aidiacht Shealbhach' for each of the 7 persons and showing how the base word changes.The changes are highlighted in red font. It includes the nouns: bríste, bróg, oráiste, úll, cóta agus pancóg. It also includes, 'I mo chonaí. They can be printed out large for classroom displays or smaller for pupils to make into a booklet for work at home.

ages 7+ <br /> This resource contains 10 posters displaying counting people from 1-10. Each one has the word for the amount of people and pictures of people.

3rd-6th classes age 8+<br /> These 4 posters show verbs in the present tense with the endings highlighted in red font. There is a verb with each of the two endings plus two verbs beginning with vowels. These can be printed out large for classroom displays or smaller for children to use at home.

classes 1st-4th, ages 6-10.<br /> These mini booklets can be printed out and completed as a whole class or group activity at the end of a unit of work, as revision or for homework. They can be laminated when completed and bound/stapled to make a class library of Irish 'Books' for children to read. These 'books' can be sent home to read with parents and used as revision. They can also be edited to add in more verbs/phrases of your choice to reflect the work done in your own classroom and also to differentiate for weaker/stronger children in your classroom. This idea can also be developed with other areas of the Irish Curriculum to make it useful for older classes. It can also be developed for the English Curriculum to make books on specific topics.

<p>This resource can be used as a whole lesson once some work has already been done on properties and characteristics of materials. In this lesson, children have to identify the materials used to make a car and discuss the suitability of the materials chosen based on their properties and characteristics. It can be done as group work, with feedback being conducted as a whole class. There is also a section at the end for early finishers in order to keep all students busy. This format can also be used to examine the materials used in building a house or any other building or vehicle you wish to use.</p>

<p>This resource contains phrases about which preferences for items of clothing and footwear. It focuses on the use of the phrase, “Is fearr liom…” and on clothes. It can be used in a few ways. It can be used as a classroom display to help children with their writing. It can be used as a matching activity where children are given a sentence and have to find the matching items or vice versa. This can be done as a whole class where multiples of the clothing and footwear are printed out and the whole class look for their items at the same time. It can be done as groups where one person from each group goes at a time. It can also be used on the white-board if magnetic tape is put onto the sentences and pictures and children come up to the board to match.</p>

junior-2nd class<br /> This resource can be used along with the story of Hansel and Gretel. Once the story has been read and discussed, children can draw a story map of all of the places Hansel and Gretel went to. Then they can choose a character to write about using the Character Profile template. There are 2 profile sheets, a simpler one for infants and a second one for 1st&amp; 2nd. In this way, this resource can be used in the multiclass situation or as differentiation for stronger/weaker children.

Junior- 2nd classes, ages 5-8<br /> These questionnaires are for interviewing grandparents about when they were young. They can be used as a homework activity and then the answers can be used in class to compile timelines, to compare and contrast the lives of all grandparents and to compare and contrast with their own lives. This information could be displayed on simple bar graphs or pie charts and be integrated with Maths.

3rd-6th classes<br /> This is a short drama that I wrote based on the novel, 'The Gun of Easter'. After studying the novel, I used this resource in my drama lessons. It was great for helping the children to remember the story in a fun way and also great for oral language. Children also invented costumes and made props to accompany the drama.

These 5 posters show how adding a 'fada' to a vowel changes the pronunciation. Each poster gives words that contain each vowel, with and without the 'fada'. They can be printed out and used in a classroom display. You can add words that the children are learning to spell and words from their readers/workbooks.
