Lots of suggestions of activities that children can do at home during this season.

Suitable for all ages. There are 10 pictures of food items. I used my camera to zoom in on each item (excellent quality).

This is a fantastic filler activity/end of day activity.

Photographs owned by author.

Year 3 topic on rocks.

This resource is suitable for your lower ability children/SEN. Children cut up the pictures and sentences and put them order to tell the story of how rocks turn to soil.

To extend this to the whole class, dramatise the journey at the end. The children (all abilities!) loved it.

This is an RE lesson observation I did with year 3, which can be easily edited and adapted to suit up to year 6, as some of the content is quite challenging.

It explores the Parable of the Two Sons and discusses how our conscience affects our choices and that our choices have consequences.

The children really enjoyed the lesson!

This has been written from scratch by myself and was very successful!

It talks about real life examples of love, acting scenario for The Prodigal Son, a prayer and an optional song.

Easily adaptable for year 3 and above.

A powerpoint looking at a few Christmas poems.

Children can use a picture of their own Christmas tree to create a poem of their choice. Art activity also included in the powerpoint.

This is an ideal activity for those last few days of school, before the Christmas holidays!
