<p>This file consists of two activities: 1. One of the most common (and essential) tense agreement in grammar (present, imperfect, pluperfect + future, conditional present and conditional past). 2. Indirect discourse and past tenses, with an activity for distinguishing the enunciation from the enunciated.</p>
<p>Understanding what is modality, in opposition to facts.<br />
Avoiding mistakes between, say, “manger” and “mangé” in writing, the former following a modal verb, the latter an auxiliary (avoir/être).</p>
<p>Understanding the difference between infinitive (one person for two verbs, e.g. Je veux prendre le train) and subjunctive (two different people, e.g. Je veux que tu prennes le train).</p>
