Writing support sheet

(0)
For children who really struggle to think of words when describing landscapes, transport, animals etc. This sheet is a quick revision map of various adjectives that can be used across a range of writing prompts. Particularly useful for children with dyslexia or autism who struggle to think of adjectives in their writing. Perhaps they are given a photo of a mountain and asked to write sentences to do with the picture, with this sheet they could find synonyms for ‘big’ and also look at words to do with ‘landscapes’ or ‘weather’. This sheet would enable them to be more independent in their writing without a different prompt sheet for different tasks.

Shape Coding & Colour Semantics Sentence Building Pack

(0)
This resource is great for learners with SEND, it combines the teaching behind shape coding and colour semantics together to create a visual support for children learning to build sentences. For the best results: print, cut and laminate it and create a laminated velcro board for the shapes/words to stick onto in order to create sentences. Then use a whiteboard pen over the laminated words to add punctuation or create your own words. Used successfully for children from ages 4-15 and those with special educational needs (down syndrome, ADHD, autism, dyslexia).
