<p>Suitable for a an introduction lesson into the rise of Islam (particularly for KS3). Looks at the birth of Islam using Peter Frankopan´s silk roads extracts, including a comprehension activity. The lesson then goes on to look at reasons for the quick and successful rise of Islam with a statement sort activity while encouraging pupils to fully evaluate what they think was the main cause of the spread of Islam up until the year 750.</p>

<p>A set of over 50 Titanic passenger tickets complete with names, passenger numbers of actual Titanic passengers. Tickets can be used by pupils as part of a larger scheme of work where pupils take on the role of a passenger to discover the fate of their passenger, or merely as a starter activity. Passengers were chosen to represent cross sections of society on the Titanic and to highlight class and racial diversity.</p>
