<p>The guided reading lessons are around science lessons of ‘sound’ in year 4. The resources cover: How the ear works, amazing animal hearing, Dame Evelyn Glennie (who was deaf), what is sound and a story called ‘the gift’. My opinion is that the lessons are for strong readers.<br /> These slides have VIPER style questions with answers attached.<br /> Resources are attached so you can print them out.</p>

<p>Year 4 appropriate guided reading lessons based around Cece Bell’s character called ‘El Deafo’ who is a bunny rabbit that loses her hearing. Supports science lessons around the topic of ‘sound’. The lessons support google classrooms and come with chapters 1-12 on slides too. It’s easier for children to follow the book if you play the slides while reading because it’s a comic style book.</p>

<p>Planet Stan guided reading with chapters 1-4.<br /> Follows VIPERS questioning with retrieval at the beginning of each day and chapters are on Google slides. I use a neutral colour background which is autism friendly and font is joined handwriting. All questions have answers attached and there is an activity for children to do after you’ve read a chapter which follow the VIPERS ideas.</p>

<p>Angles and Shape slides for year 4 following White Rose scheme of work. Suitable for Google classroom. Slides show ‘I do, we do, you do’ and have fluency/application activities linked at the end of each lesson. There is a ‘refelction’ slide at the end of each day with a true/false statement as well as a retrieval slide for the start of each lesson with answers. Comes with scheme of learning document, assessment sheet with answers and reasoning document.</p>
