These Magic 16 worksheets are used to prepare pupils for their ECDL examinations in PowerPoint, Word and Excel. These activities are designed to be used during a teacher demonstration allowing the pupils to observe and record down their own instructions on how to complete the tasks. <br /> <br /> The Magic 16 for each unit are the 16 most common problems pupils seem to struggle with during the examinations. Also included is a process of lessons on how to teach an ECDL to ensure maximum results making use of the Magic 16, Literacy/Practice Tasks and Diagnostic Tests.

Python Christmas Activity<br /> <br /> A Father Christmas themed Python programming challenge.<br /> <br /> Pupils have to create a fully functional system for Father Christmas to make calculations about his Christmas Eve journey. The system has to have a menu as shown in the image and calls specific functions based on the users choice.<br /> <br /> This set of challenges tests the pupils Python skills in the following areas:<br /> Prints<br /> Inputs<br /> IF/ELIF/ELSE<br /> Maths<br /> Functions<br /> <br /> Pupils must have a good understanding of functions and passing parameters in order to complete the tasks set. The maths calculations are simple but could be easily altered to make more challenging.

12 Poster Pages displaying all of the different blocks available when programming with the BBC Micro:Bit. <br /> <br /> Also included is a small challenges poster with the spreadsheet of challenges that was used to create challenge cards to be added to the display. The challenge cards file is linked with the excel file of challenges so can easily be printed and added to.<br /> <br /> The main header for the display was simply a blown up version of the Micro:Bit logo so I have not included that with this resources as you can get from the website.

I used an old computer and took apart to show them.<br /> <br /> The second lesson focuses on File Size and there is a pupil crib sheet which they can take away or put in their diaries. <br /> <br /> The presentation used to have a header across the top so you can easily add your own one in using the master slide.
