Being Muslim - What does is it mean to you?

(8)
Being Muslim - this is a diamond 9 activity prepared for our local after-school Islamic school. It is aimed at primary school but could also work for Secondary. This was interesting because when I did this with Year 2 / 3, we were able to understand what 'actually&' went on in the minds of the Muslim children, and what they though were the most and least important things for Muslims to do. Note: The Diamond with the Arabic is meant to be the &';Testimony of Faith' - the Shahada&' which simply means to believe and testify that &';There is no god except Allah and Muhammad is His Messenger.

Use as a starter, but build other activities around the PPT. Once the PPT begins play the audio provided in the background. You could also print out the famous Che picture onto small sheets of red paper and ask students to stick into their books then draw a spider diagram around the picture as they look at the images of Che. Any questions please contact. Hamid
