This is a handy editable resource for the progression steps for Nursery and Reception (Progression Step 1&2) which are all in one place.

This is a KS3 targeted poetry unit of work- targeted at covering all of the basics that students need to know before they begin exploring poetry. I created this for my private tutoring. I use the acronym of T.S.W.I.F.T: Tone, Structure, Word Choice, Imagery, Figurative Language and Theme and focus on one aspect per session. I use a wide variety of poems to help the student understand each poetry tool to a greater depth. Alongside this ppt, I chose a Taylor Swift song that we would analyse using our new poetry tool. I used Getaway Car but it is entirely up to you which one you think would be suitable for your class or student. I hope all of the swiftie teachers/tutors enjoy this resource :)

A research sheet composed as a table for students to add their research for composing booklets (or posters) about ‘The Christmas Story.’ This resource is tailored to KS2. I have both LA and HA included in this resource for easy differentiation as well as opportunity to draw images they would like to include in their projects. This resource was created for a mixed 5/6 class.
