<p>A one-hour lesson introductory lesson on Islam, covering the basics needed for pupils to understand the content of the AQA RE Islamic Beliefs specification.</p> <p>The lesson gives pupils an understanding of key Muslim beliefs that will be covered in more detail throughout the topic; such as, the Qur’an and other sources of authority, the prophet Muhammad, and the two branches of Islam.</p> <p>Activities planned aim to develop vital literacy and comprehension skills alongside imparting knowledge of Islam.</p> <p>Power Point and word document work sheet included.</p>

<p>A one hour lesson introducing the topic of Sikhism to KS3 pupils. The lesson gives an overview of key aspects of the religion; such as God, the Gurus, and key moral principles. This provides a good starting point for deeper learning about Sikhism.</p> <p>Resource includes PowerPoint and all resources in Word document form, such as a key word glossary for the topic and an apply task worksheet.</p> <p>The unit was made for KS3 but would also be suitable for older KS2 classes.</p>
