This lesson is about how the Normans began the take over of Wales into English control. The two maps of Wales should have 1 showing Wales before 1066 and Wales after 1066. This fits into a scheme of work about the Normans in England.

This lesson is designed to fit in with any scheme of work about the glorious revolution and the act of union. It is self explanatory with different styles of information sheets/worksheets to match different pupils ability and preferred task style. The YouTube clip at the end is just to give the pupils extra information in a different format.

This is a lesson designed to go into a scheme of work about life in a Medieval Town. This lesson focus' on apprenticeships and general town jobs/shops. For EAL/LA pupils instead of the diary there is a sheet attached to guess the job the sign represents and then design their own.

This lesson looks at the Red Scare in 1920's USA and how immigration was involved. It assumes the students have a brief understanding of what communism is but does go over it briefly.

This lesson can be used as a one of investigative lesson or in a scheme of work on revolutions or the 15th Century. The task involves the pupils reading the information sheet and plotting on the map the route that the rebellion took. There is a map and presentation for both lower and higher ability groups. Then there is some comprehension style questions and an short evaluative essay plan for the pupils to complete, as well as a homework option attached to the PowerPoint.

Using sources the pupils have to guess what prohibition is. They get a starter source sheet to settle them and then 3 more sources to discuss and answer questions on. <br /> <br /> Once they have figured out that prohibition is to do with drinking and alcohol they have a card sort activity about the different reasons why prohibition was introduced. <br /> <br /> Finally they go back to the starter source sheet and now fill in the correct information

This lesson is designed to fit into any scheme of work about the Tudors. It does require some form of prior knowledge about the make-up of the Tudor family tree and the reformation/religious disputes during the time. The film clip needed is from the Cate Blanchet Elizabeth film and the scenes I advise using are in the notes section of the PP slide. The graph template is there to be used but is optional if you want the pupils to draw their own.

<p>A nice easy into lesson to Egypt<br /> Pupils must use their common sense to put the timeline of Egypt in the right order and then assess why so many people wanted to move to Egypt around the Nile<br /> B2 is the lower ability lesson with less events to sort out.</p>

<p>This lesson looks at evaluating how effective Churchill was as a wartime leader. The main activity is a carousel to look at sources and collect information from them. Then they have to use the sources to help them form their own decision about whether Churchill was great or not and then create a poster about their point of view. Some of the sources they have looked at are posters so discuss with them what it needed in a persuasive poster and reference back to the sources.</p>

This lesson is designed to fit in with a scheme of work about Medieval England. HA pupils should be able to use all of the the flowchart pieces when rewriting the story in their own words.
