I’ve put together 4 sets of practice questions for the 2024 Paper 1 AQA Core Maths preliminary material, which are all about rubbish. I have added reasonable answers with suitable error bounds as you would get in the exam mark scheme. I’ll copy the first set here, all 4 sets are graduated in terms of their difficulty, ranging from looking up information to a full 8 mark exam style questions at the end of each set. What is the amount of household waste generated per person in England in 2014? What is the amount of residual waste generated per person in England in 2014? What is the average reduction in waste generated per person each year in England between 2010 and 2020? Make a prediction about what the recycling rate for household waste for England was in 2021. Given that each 480kg of waste sent to landfill requires 1m^3 of landfill capacity. Estimate the capacity of landfill which was required by a typical small English town in 2023.
