Two lesson plans (25 slides) that guide students’ analysis of the poem ‘The Bright Lights of Sarajevo’ by Tony Harrison and prepares them to answer an exam-style question. I have used the Edexcel IGCSE English Language mark scheme and student examples for the second lesson - these could easily be swapped with a different mark scheme more relevant for your class. Note that the student example is from the Jan 2020 exam and can be accessed from the Pearson website; I’ve screenshot the student example and incorporated it into the ppt for convenience.
