This unit included a fully planned and resourced unit on writing poetry with figurative language, inspired by the works of Pie Corbett and Valerie Bloom.
I’d recommend teaching this at the start of Y6 to revise descriptive skills taught in Y5, ready to apply them to varies outcomes over the year.
