Different sections on this PPT will help you develop students’ knowledge of verbs across 5 tenses, including: what the tenses mean, suitable time phases to use with the tenses, examples of how to conjugate regular verbs, the main irregular verbs in each tense and how to ask for and express opinions in the 5 tenses in a variety of ways. The near future is not included. The PPT should be used to encourage students to deal with the unpredictable by covering up a random tense and requiring students to conjugate verbs in that tense. This process will promote independence and confidence whilst cementing the key verbs and tenses in their memories too. I used this with all my GCSE and A level students. This PPT goes with my other 5 tenses resource (the student sheet) but can be used independently to cut down on printing costs.
