People love a good story. Stories are everywhere around us in newspapers, books, on TV and on the WEB. They are a fundamental part of human experience. They draw you in to a new world – the story world – and leave you open to respond in an individual way, developing empathy and imagination.

The art of storytelling happens when a story is told person to person, live, without print or technology. Storytelling is a unique human skill and is one of our oldest art forms. It is for everyone – of every age and background. Storytelling appeals to the imagination and emotions, to all ages and can be a gateway to understanding spiritual truths.

Jesus was a great storyteller. He used stories to reveal attributes of God, explore different moral issues and to challenge the beliefs and practices in 1st century Israel. For these reasons and more, storytelling is an excellent tool for learning about God and his kingdom.

The purpose of these stories is to give teachers stories and information to create stories that will carry spiritual truths.

Some of these stories are fictional, some are factual, some are personal, and some are biblical.
