Full term SOW (over 140 slides) to teach A Christmas Carol to a year 10 group with target grades 5-7. Includes a range of structured writing tasks with writing frames and examples and lessons considering the novel's context, allegory, structure and characters. Highly structured with a range of tasks which are all fully differentiated. All resources are within the PP, including extracts ready to print. Any resources are at the end of each lesson.
Designed in line with Eduqas new 9-1 exam but easily adapted for other boards. Students were set a HL to read the novel in advance of teaching so it is designed on the assumption students have prior knowledge of the text.
