Detailed knowledge organiser for A Christmas Carol in line with the AQA GCSE English Literature specification. This KO was created with a top set in mind.
Ideally it should be printed double sided on A3 so it is easy to navigate as the font used is very small.
It includes a short, but informative summary of the novella which will mean students would not need to re-read the text.
Additionally, there is a small grid for each stave in which there are a plethora of key quotations given for key characters and themes so students can almost revise the text via quotations. Students would, of course, not be expected to remember so many quotations however I try and expose my students to as many as possible and then I encourage pupils to highlight the quotes they personally think they will be able to recall and make quotation cards from these linked to theme/character/exam question.
It includes AQA assessment objectives, subject terminology/high level vocabulary, plot summary, plethora of key quotations and relevant contextual information.
