A comprehensive and detailed unit of work taking Y13 students through “Language Variation”. There are plenty of fun, engaging activities. This unit does not reference other publications, so is perfect used alongside a textbook. The unit covers theory, examples, grammar, syntax, lexis, phonology and the way in which both spoken and written language varies: there is a focus on American English and Jamaican Patwah, as well as other, local examples. Please note, videos have been removed as per TES guidelines but links provided where appropriate.
