A SoW that covers between 16 and 17 hours of lessons. This has been designed for students who have finished their AS exams but are back in school preparing to start year 13. The first philosophy unit they will study in September is life after death so these resources focus on Descartes' ideas about reality and the mind, as well as a comparison with Plato, and a discussion on the consequences of these ideas for beliefs about life after death. There is an outline SoW which can be adapted to suit your teaching needs. There are worksheets accompanied for students to go through. The first three lessons students watch the film Inception, and then the remainder of the time is spent planning and researching independent presentations and games/activities to use in class on what they have studied. All resources and suggested activities for this are included. N.B. the accompanying PP information has been adapted from other resources found on TES. Credit to other users for this information.
