Aaron Becker Journey Tension Writing Unit with all resources including plan and support materials

A tension writing unit based on the picture book Journey by Aaron Becker. PowerPoint leads through prediction, technical vocabulary, hot seating, modeled writing, key features, personification and powerful vocabulary.
Each modeled section is broken down into small sections to help children build up their tension piece. A final copy writing template is included for that neat copy for display or books. Teacher’s plan included as well as planning frame, technical vocabulary and conjunction checklist for pupils.
Link to YouTube version of the book is included but the book is brilliant so definitely worth buying! My class loved it. The writing they produced was of a high standard and they all thoroughly enjoyed the book.
