This cut and go puzzle requires students to match fraction addition problems with the solution. No fraction sums will be greater than one. Some will need to be reduced. Use in centers, as individual or group practice or even in interactive notebooks to practice solving fraction addition problems.
I have used many cut and paste activities throughout the years and noticed that some students struggle to get started. To help with this I have added the word “start” to the first domino and the word “stop” to the last. The first version (page 3) is ordered in the correct order by row, left to right. The letters on the dominoes are meant to help you quickly check for accuracy. The second version (page 4) is mixed up so that students who may be cutting up pieces before playing won’t know what the answers are. Pages 5 and 6 are the same except the word stop is omitted.
Want students to record and show their work? Use the optional recording sheet on the last page.
