This resource is aimed at Year 3 and 4 students who are beginning to explore fractions as a whole. The resource contains a gradual build up to addition of fractions, with the same denominator, using pictorial representations. Children can use a range of manipulatives to aide their exploration of adding fractions while consolidating their knowledge that a fraction is part of a whole.
