Adventures of Sherlock Holmes - full SOW

SOW for 8 weeks/ 30 lessons introducing students to Conan Doyle’s most famous character. Suitable for mid-ability students. Short stories explored include The Blue Carbuncle, The Crooked Man and The Final Problem. All skills focused on are relevant for GCSE AQA Language Papers 1 and 2 AO1-3. Frequent SPAG lessons recap the use of punctuation, sentence types etc. Differentiation is built in to most lessons with activities suited target Band 5 with higher level thinking questions aimed at Band 6+.
