American West The Railroad

My dear Reader,

This lesson is the eight one of set on American West. ; It looks at the building of the railroad after the Railroad Act 1862. It aims to have students matching knowledge on the Railroad with an exam question.
All lessons have a same-model structure to get the students taught in a coherent manner, and always understand where they are at in their learning:

First slide- understanding why the US needed a railroad.
Second slide explaining the arrive of railroad.
Third slide evaluating the impact on settlers and Indians.
All tasks are assessed.
An extension task is completed.
The resources are at the end of the Power Point.

Beware that due to the amound of knowledge this lesson is 1.5 hours, you can push it into two.
