Animal Farm - Napoleon on Trial

Fun Animal Farm end of unit double lesson that puts Napoleon on trial for crimes against his fellow animals. Students are split into presecution and defence teams. They will need to writing opening statement, decide on characters to question as witnesses, and write closing statements. You may wish to provide a more guideded approach to writing the questions depending on the needs of your students.
Encourage them to have fun with this, even students who aren’t comfortable speaking publicly can get involved with writing the statements/questions.
