Ideal for Geography EDEXCEL B

Guides students through the different elements of the Gersmehl Model individually and explained in a simple way.

Then shows how the model works differently in Deserts, Rainforests and Taiga Forest with an explanation. The slide has animated elements; if the biome has a lot of biomass, the biomass will expand, but if the biomass is relatively small it will shrink. This lends itself to getting students to think about how the cycle is going to look before you show them.

N.B. Some elements may need to be recolored depending on your version of Powerpoint, on mine it looks like the screen shot.

Nice easy temp to the science and well explained. I particularly liked the animations on each of the biomes to underline the influence of rainfall and temperature.

Perfect to bring what can be a slightly abstract concept to life. Thank you for sharing. Perfect for GCSE.
