A lesson as part of a muscles and bones topic on antagonistic muscle pairs.
Pupils complete a word puzzle as a settler task that leads into the key concepts of the lesson.
Leveled learning objectives shared
Pupils label a diagram of the muscles in the arm and then their knowledge on these is assessed.
Once pupils can confidently use key terms, the concept of antagonistic muscles in shown in a video. Pupils complete a gap-fill exercise during this.
AfL of responses.
The lesson leads up to being able to answer a 6mark question.

Pupils are shown an exemplar answer and make notes on why it is a mastered level answer. Pupils then share ideas ad teacher can make note of these in the 6 WAGOLL boxes. Pupils then answer the 6 mark question, using support from their gap fill sheet.
I also used summary sheets from a revision at a help desk that pupils could access if required for further support.

All printing included. Should be a download and go lesson. I used for KS3 but could be good revision for KS4.
