A complete lesson that uses Shell as an example of a TNC and the advantages and disadvantages to the country. Follows the AQA 9-1 Syllabus. The main aim of the lesson is to build up the skills needed to answer an evaluation question on the significance of Shell in the development of Nigeria. Links to videos are supported by clear summaries of the impacts, especially the environmental ones. A template is provided to help students tackle a 9 mark question. A model answer is also provided which prompts students to tackle alternative questions. Subject specific vocabulary is explicitly identified. The lesson is fully resourced and includes a concise Knowledge Organiser. Although the lesson is specifically designed for the AQA course it can easily be used with other syllabi.
