I achieved an A* at A-level for English Language (exam board: AQA) and also an A* for my coursework.

Language Investigation : ‘An investigation of diachronic language change in football reports since the 1980s’ - includes issues such as racism and the development of political correctness.

. The focal point of this investigation was to monitor how the language devices utilised in football reports have evolved over the years
. Investigating from the 1980s, was a wide enough time frame to have allowed my study to elicit comparative results, as society has significantly progressed since then
. The language investigation looks into semantic reclamation, pejoration, neologisms, cliches and pragmatics.

Original writing : a guest post article on Mumsnet with the title - “Are we playing ‘Russian roulette’ with our children’s future?”

. Style model: also a guest post article on mumsnet with the title - “Are our children more anxious, or are we pathologising adolescence?”.

The style model deliberated on the issue of over-medicalising the ‘normal’ struggles of juvenile development. I similarly embraced a children’s affair in my mumsnet article, though through expressing vaccinations as a prerequestie for childhood.
