These are the notes that I made in the 2017/18 academic year, following the NEW AQA curriculum for A-Level geography.
These notes are summarised mainly from the AQA textbook.
The resource contains:
- A main resource that contains the content covered in the hazards module. This includes a couple of ‘mini’ case studies that are applicable to specific areas of the topic.
- Case studies of the main hazards covered in the main resource (seismic, volcanic, storm and wildfire hazards)
- A case study of the Philippines, a multi-hazardous country, and how hazards are managed there.
- A glossary of important key words that can be found in the main resource.
This resource is not a comprehensive cover of the hazards module, however it can be used as a good starting point or support for concept consolidation.
