This was produced for a 90 minute lesson, but could easily be shrunk or extended to suit your needs.

This lesson involves students watching and analysing three different 2016 Christmas adverts, considering features the writers have used to achieve effect and make use of ideologies. This is perfect for all AOs of the spec, allowing them to apply their skills to a visual form.

I will be using the grid to get students to produce an analysis of the adverts, based on their critical understanding (AO4).

All links are located on the Powerpoint, which has differentated learning objectives on each slide, and I have produced a scaffolded grid to enable students to write whilst watching.

A perfect 'wind down' lesson, that actually gets them to apply their English skills thoroughly (without them knowing...)
