Back to School Agamograph Art Activity

Agamographs provide a fun unique way of viewing art. My students are fascinated and get so excited with this art idea.

This resource is a hands-on Back to School themed activity (featuring 8 school subjects) that combines two separate images into one are piece, which the viewer can then see – from different angles - each picture independently.

This activity involves coloring-in, cutting, gluing and folding. You will require; coloring-in materials (pencils, felts, etc), scissors, glue-sticks.

This resource has 8 Back to School subject themed images (Art, Literacy, Maths, Music, Science, Social Studies, Sports and Technology), paired into all combinations (28), to put together and create the agamograph.

This resource is excellent for creating a quick piece art to display.

This also can give you an insight to your students’ favorite or best subjects at school!

There are two levels of challenge;

1. the final image is composed of 8 strips (4 strips for one School subject image and 4 strips for the other), suitable for younger students

2. the final image is composed of 16 strips (8 strips for one School subject image and 8 strips for the other)

I have also included blank templates for students to create their own two images to combine.
