Part of a series of resources available on Billy Elliot (2000) directed by Stephen Daldry and written by Lee Hall. This resource focuses on the ‘Dancing for Dad’ sequence where Billy is torn between his family, his ballet teacher, and his love for dancing.

The ‘Deconstruction’ worksheet can be used by students to make notes on a key scene of the film. Includes stills from the film.

The ‘Teaching Sides’ include stills from the film to be used for educational purposes when discussing these key scenes, as well as annotations (can be deleted) on the key shots.

This is ideal for students to use while watching the film, and helps them identify key techniques such as camera distance, angle, lighting, colour etc.
