Reading for teaching of jobs and places of work, revising family members and tenses.
Olivier describes his family and friends’ jobs, places of work and their previous or dream jobs. Students have to find the information in the text and fill the table in English. Not all will have a current, a previous and a dream job.
Some dictionary work can be completed ahead of or during the task.
Different tenses and time phrases could be researched before hand to support foundation students.
Students were given the AQA GCSE Studio Higher vocabulary for support (pages 158/159).
This task can lead to the production of a similar writing by the students.
